Job Description The VisMin Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, directing and managing supply chain logistics functions - Warehouse, Transport and Materials Management for Iligan Plant and ensures development and implementation of operational strategies to achieve business goals and operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. To lead and develop the VisMin Logistics Team to ensure that the right people, processes, systems and metrics are in place to support growth and continuous improvement. Strategy and Development Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance; Identify and recommend strategic quality plans and operational projects and to align and achieve the organizational goals and objectives; Monitor and provide status updates on the implementation of approved projects and initiatives. General Management Plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the material management function to ensure efficient flow of material, storage, control & accuracy of materials inventory; Oversee the Export order to delivery cycle to ensure quality, cost efficient and on-time delivery; Ensures effective and efficient management of all warehouses, both internal and external, by ensuring proper handling and safekeeping of inventory items and providing accurate, complete and on-time inventory reports. Management; Provides direction, organizes and implements an efficient logistics operations and other functions; Manage the logistics operation liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics service providers to realize efficiencies and manage expectations; Approve rates with transportation and logistics service providers and ensures contract compliance; Identify and manage risk within the logistics activities; Analyze and reviews data, provide meaningful logistics information to management to aid customer service and cost improvements; Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities; Ensures implementation and coordination of logistics support activities facilitate interaction with operations and other teams; Understands and implements 5S, GMP, HACCP and Food Safety protocols; Conducts customer visits and builds relationship with customers; Reports on the monthly performance of Vismin Logistics in our internal weekly and monthly meetings; Able to work with subcontractors. Financial Budget and Control Prepares Annual and Midyear departmental and freight budgets; and endorses to AVP; Review and Analyze monthly expense variance reports Develops new cost cutting measures whilst balancing customer service; Does material variance analysis on a regular basis; People Management Focuses the team on defining and achieving operational excellence; Leads and develops a high performing team that tries to exceed agreed objectives via continuous improvement, constantly adding value; Reviews and assesses performance of direct reports. Ensures effective coordination and communication between the team, internal, as well as external stakeholders. Supports implementation of team's Individual Development Plan to further enhance technical skill and universal competencies. Has had successful experiences hiring people; Other Tasks Ensures compliance to food safety, good housekeeping and quality management system based on the standards of 5S, GMP, HACCP, Halal and ISO. Performs other related works as maybe assigned. FOOD SAFETY: Ensures execution of quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations within the team. Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities. Taking accountability for the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System and religious requirements Ensuring that the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives are established for the Integrated Management System and are compatible with the context and strategic direction of the organization; Ensuring the integration of the quality management system requirements into the organization’s business processes; Promoting the use of the process approach and risk-based thinking; Ensuring that the resources needed for the quality management system are available; Communicating the importance of effective quality management and of conforming to the quality management system requirements; Ensuring that the quality management system achieves its intended results; Engaging, directing and supporting persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system; promoting improvement; supporting other relevant management roles to demonstrate their leadership as it applies to their areas of responsibility. OTHER TASKS: Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc. Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the immediate superior. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in any 4 or 5 year business related course (i.e Accounting or Industrial Engineering) Experience: At least 5 years in logistics At least 5 years food manufacturing or distribution industry Over 5 years in a managerial or leadership function.
