The responsibilities of the role will include, but not limited to:

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

  • 5- 10 years of experience in logistics, including imports and abnormal loads movement, delivery for construction.
  • Strong understanding of industry codes and standards, legal requirements
  • Experience in contract management
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work on-site in a construction and commissioning environment.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
  • An understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and standards.
  • Have a strong safety awareness and the ability to drive the correct safety culture in others.
  • Confidence to challenge established practices, suggesting imaginative solutions to problems.
  • Excellent people skills to enable effective working relationships with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to deliver the role whilst demonstrating flexibility, initiative and prominent levels of self-motivation and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to identify and analyse situations by isolating key issues, evaluating relevant data, and drawing appropriate conclusions.
  • A willingness to travel to project sites, other Highview offices and vendor works.

Desirable:

  • Experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with vendors.
  • Chartered (CILT or equivalent)
  • Batchelors Degree or equivalent in Business administration, Supply Chain Management or similar
Responsibilities

The Logistics Manager shall be responsible for coordination and management of the movement of all project materials from UK port of entry to the construction site. This shall be carried out by logistics providers in the UK, and so contract management experience will be a requirement.
The Logistics Lead will also be responsible for the over-arching logistics strategy for the project, managing the global IFF-led delivery of all equipment from Vendor to UK port of entry. Their experience will be leveraged to produce best practices and procedures for future projects. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
The ideal candidate for manager will have good experience in the UK logistics sector, particularly around receiving international goods and the movement of Abnormal Loads. The candidate will be a logical thinker with the capability to quickly analyse a problem and deliver a practical solution. The candidate will have the ability to pick up new concepts rapidly and work both independently and collaboratively.
The ideal candidate for Lead will have extensive experience in global logistics, and with management of IFFs. The candidate will have a firm grasp of global best practice, and experience in implementing the same.
