Description

Role Overview

You will lead our entire production and logistics operation, from the moment an approved design reaches the workshop to the moment the finished work arrives on site, in the UAE or abroad. You'll plan and run production across all departments, control quality and cost, and manage the movement of goods locally and internationally, making sure every project is built right and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

Production

Plan, schedule and prioritize all production across joinery, metalwork, print and finishing to meet project deadlines.

Review approved designs and shop drawings with the design team to confirm manufacturability, materials and timelines before production starts.

Lead and support the Production Supervisor and workshop teams; allocate manpower and resolve bottlenecks.

Implement quality control checks at each stage, including final inspection and pre-dispatch checks against drawings and brand standards.

Coordinate material requirements with procurement and monitor stock levels to avoid production delays.

Track production costs, material wastage and labour hours against project budgets; report variances.

Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained and serviced to minimize downtime.

Enforce health and safety standards across the factory in line with UAE regulations.

Continuously improve workshop processes, efficiency and output.

Logistics

Plan and manage all deliveries from the factory to project sites across the UAE, including vehicle scheduling, loading plans and delivery timing.

Manage international shipments to GCC and African markets: coordinate with freight forwarders, prepare or oversee shipping documents, packing lists and commercial invoices, and manage customs clearance.

Ensure proper crating, packing and protection of goods for local and international transport.

Coordinate mall and site access permits, delivery slots and loading bay bookings with landlords and mall management.

Align dispatch schedules with installation teams so materials arrive when and where they're needed.

Manage the company's delivery vehicles and drivers, including fleet maintenance, registrations and route planning.

Oversee warehouse and storage of materials, finished goods and returned items.

Negotiate and manage relationships with freight forwarders, transport providers and customs agents to control costs.

Reporting & Coordination

Attend project meetings and give realistic production and delivery timelines to project/account managers.

Provide regular reports on production status, delivery schedules, costs and issues to management.

Flag risks to deadlines early and propose solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Engineering, Production/Industrial Management, Supply Chain or a related field.

Proven experience managing production in a fitout, exhibition, POS, joinery or signage manufacturing environment.

Hands-on knowledge of joinery, metal fabrication, large-format printing and finishing processes.

Experience managing local and international logistics, including GCC shipments, freight forwarding and UAE customs procedures.

Ability to read and understand technical and shop drawings.

Strong planning and scheduling skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects on fixed deadlines.

Experience leading and motivating multicultural workshop teams.

Good understanding of cost control and production budgeting.

Knowledge of UAE health and safety requirements for manufacturing.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel especially) and familiarity with ERP or production planning software.
