Roles & Responsibilities

• Knowledge about sea freights/ Air Freight, shipping lines and Air cargo operations.
• knowledge about Bill of Lading and other shipping documents like commercial invoice, packing list.
• Should be aware of the procedure for making a Certificate of Origin from the Ministry of Chamber of Commerce website (Dubai Chamber Certificate)
• Complete knowledge of Master BL and House Bl’s and the flow of documents for this cycle.
• Knowledge about certifications for import in African sector, like ECTN, CNCA and CBCA certificates.
• Competitive knowledge about Letters of Credits/ Documentary credits (UCP DC 600) – Expiry date, transhipment, Partial shipment, latest shipping and the other clauses in it.
• Detailed coordination with the vendors and buyers for the flow of documents, taking consent on the shipping documents from the buyers before final processing.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, Shipping bills, shipping instructions, and should have understanding of Indian customs and their practices.
• Should be aware of container tracking from their tracking engines from various carrier lines like Maersk, Cosco, CMA CGM, MSC, PIL, etc.
• Internal coordination with accounts teams for the follow-up with the Debtor/Creditor balances and follow-up with the respective parties.
• Must be able to create a purchase order and input into Excellon.
• Handling the Switch BL with the Shipping lines.
• Freight rate finalisation after discussing with multiple parties
• Coordination with the Accounts team for timely payments
• Coordination with Destination teams for the new orders
• Making the Certificate of Origin in Ministry of Chamber of Commerce
• Submitting the shipping documents to the Banks ( LCs)
• Verifying LCs and ensuring that documents can meet all clauses.
• Preparation the shipping documents such as final invoice, packing list and draft BL.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Graduate with degree.
• Must have experience in working with multiple nationalities
• Must have prior experience in working with trading company/export company
• Minimum 10 Years of experience in logistics & freight forwarding, specifically in UAE.
• Well-versed with MS-Office & Office Tools
• Must have prior work experience in the UAE
• Candidate should be able to join within 1 month.
