Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive logistics plans in line with project requirements and construction schedules.
  • Coordinate the movement and delivery of electrical materials, equipment, tools, and temporary facilities to various work fronts.
  • Ensure materials are available at site in accordance with the approved construction program.
  • Coordinate logistics activities with Construction, Procurement, Warehouse, Planning, QA/QC, HSE, and Commercial teams.
  • Identify potential logistics constraints and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Plan and coordinate the receipt, inspection, unloading, storage, preservation, and distribution of electrical materials and equipment.
  • Manage logistics for major electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, generators, RMUs, MCCs, panels, cable drums, busducts, lighting equipment, and other electrical systems.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of sensitive electrical equipment to prevent damage or deterioration.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers, subcontractors, and transport companies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations and project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain efficient site logistics arrangements, including access routes, laydown areas, storage yards, loading/unloading zones, and material distribution points.
  • Coordinate site access and delivery schedules to avoid congestion and disruption to construction activities.
  • Coordinate delivery documentation, permits, gate passes, and inspection requirements.
  • Follow up on delayed or critical deliveries and escalate potential impacts to project management.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with project HSE requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Implement safe systems for loading, unloading, lifting, transportation, and material handling.
  • Coordinate with HSE teams for traffic management and safe movement of vehicles and equipment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Logistics Management
  • 15–18 years of total experience, with significant experience in construction logistics.
  • Minimum 5 years of GCC experience preferred.
  • Experience in large-scale electrical/MEP construction projects is highly desirable.
  • Experience with major projects such as stadiums, hotels, high-rise buildings, malls, villas & airports..
