ABOUT THE EMPLOYER:

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading brand in the commercial vehicle industry with a strong national footprint. This organization is known for excellence in vehicle sales, parts, and aftersales support. They are currently seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee parts and vehicle movement logistics across their Durban operation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics management within the automotive/commercial vehicle industry.
  • Strong experience in vehicle logistics, warehousing, and transport operations.
  • Proven ability to manage fleet movement and OEM part supply chains.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and ERP/Dealer Management Systems (e.g. Automate, Evolve, CDK/Kerridge).
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant logistics or supply chain qualification (diploma/degree).
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end logistics for vehicles and parts within the dealership and across branches.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound transportation, including fleet planning, vehicle dispatch, and delivery coordination.
  • Ensure timely movement of stock from OEMs to the dealership and to customers.
  • Manage warehousing, storage, and inventory control of commercial vehicle parts.
  • Optimize routing and scheduling to improve cost-efficiency and turnaround time.
  • Monitor and report on logistics KPIs including delivery times, stock accuracy, and fleet utilization.
  • Ensure full compliance with transport, health & safety, and OEM regulations.
  • Manage vendor relationships (transporters, OEMs, etc.).
  • Lead and motivate the logistics and warehouse team to meet operational goals.
