POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Logistics Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics operations for our utility-scale solar projects. This role is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment, optimizing transportation and storage solutions, and supporting project timelines across multiple active construction sites.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of logistics or supply chain management experience, preferably in construction, renewable energy, or industrial environments.
  • Proven experience managing shipments of large, heavy, or high-value components to multiple sites.
  • Strong understanding of freight, warehousing, inventory control, and ERP/logistics software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and logistics platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Procore preferred).
  • Ability to travel occasionally to support field operations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in utility-scale solar or energy infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with Incoterms, international shipping, and customs documentation.
  • Forklift certification or DOT knowledge is a plus.
  • PMP or APICS certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end logistics for solar project materials, including PV modules, racking, inverters, transformers, and construction equipment.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation with vendors, freight forwarders, and site teams.
  • Optimize transportation routes, delivery schedules, and warehouse utilization to meet construction timelines and reduce costs.
  • Track and manage inventory levels at central warehouses and project sites.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, customs requirements, and safety procedures for all shipments.
  • Develop and maintain logistics plans and documentation for each active project.
  • Collaborate with procurement, construction, and project management teams to forecast material needs and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor vendor performance, manage shipping issues, and lead resolution of delays or damage claims.
  • Support the selection and management of third-party logistics (3PL) providers as needed.
  • Analyze logistics KPIs and continuously identify opportunities for process improvement.
