Description:
Winthrop are a dedicated Data Centre Construction company providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. As an engineering focused organization, Winthrop have grown to become one of the leading and most trusted companies in our sector. We are currently constructing multiple Turnkey Data Centre Projects in 9 different European Countries, equating to over 320MW of IT load in flight.
We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a Logistics Manager to join our team. This position will be site-based in Espoo, Finland.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3rd level qualification in an engineering or construction-related field is desirable however strong trades background, with 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Ideally you will have 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong, proven leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
- In-depth practical knowledge of managing loads, storage space, sub-contractors and operatives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the compound for all available storage areas on site.
- Booking and Coordination of delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with Sub Contractors to ensure their understanding of locations for all deliveries from off-site storage facility to the site in a safe manner and follow all instructions.
- Maintain good organisational skills to ensure deliveries are coming to site in an orderly manner.
- Attend pre-start meetings with sub-contractors to ensure they have full understanding of the challenges on-site, storage space and locations and booking of deliveries through the Datascope system.
- As the Site Logistics Manager, you will liaise closely with sub-contractors to ensure effective traffic management of all vehicles on-site and deliveries.
- Encourage all contractors to adopt a “just in time” approach to each delivery and ensure all deliveries are complete.
- Prevent congestion and blockage of site roads, all loading and unloading of works-related vehicles must be within the compound.
- Manage operatives to ensure the correct duties and responsibilities of health & safety and work ethics are being followed.
- Record and trace labour allocation and work reports.
