Description
Develop and establish strategic direction for diverse procurement categories, including core network (Fixed and Wireless), Media/Broadcasting, Facilities Management and Contractor Services. Ensure adherence to quality standards and drive optimal value delivery to both the organization and HKT's esteemed customers.   Experience in collaborating with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with financial goals and compliance requirements. Ability to communicate effectively with business owners to understand their needs and priorities, translating them into actionable procurement strategies. Skilled in managing relationships with vendors and external partners to negotiate favourable terms and ensure service quality. Expertise in evaluating and selecting suppliers, considering factors such as reliability, cost-effectiveness, and technological compatibility. Ensure the end-to-end bidding lifecycle from tender issuance to evaluation, shortlisting, negotiation, and acceptance of offers. Regular review and enhancement of procurement policies and procedures to align with evolving best practices     To succeed in this role:   Understanding the inherent nature of the telecom industry operations, including the establishment of infrastructure to facilitate service delivery to the market. Prior experience in procurement related to critical infrastructure sectors such as Electricity, Transportation, and Telecommunications is highly desirable. A minimum of 10 years of comprehensive experience in the Purchasing and Supply field, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity. Demonstrated success in purchasing management and experience in leading transformation projects would be advantageous. Proficiency in international trade regulations, sanction laws, and control measures is strongly preferred. Proven abilities in negotiation, influencing stakeholders, and adeptness in prioritizing tasks. Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster teamwork and effective collaboration with internal and external partners. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Assistant Purchasing Manager role based on qualifications and potential.
