Description
Generate and report internal metrics/KPIs. Monitor and log exceptions. Ensure adherence to established business processes. Support development of new business processes. Develop and implement process improvement projects to increase service level performance and/or minimize costs. Project scope is straight forward and has local impact. Process and report weekly status of “in-house” process control reports, including in-transit, cycle count, inventory receiving and shipping reports. Review inventory control reports for discrepancies and provide recommendations to management for corrective actions. This is a single contributor role and will report to the Logistics Operations Manager. The position requires experience in Logistics Operations and Project Management in a manufacturing environment, along with good communication and collaboration skills. Representing the business operations, he/she will be responsible for identifying operational process improvements that will drive compliance cost, productivity, capacity, quality improvements. Role is Singapore based and focused but not limited to potential global program/tasks engagement to drive Best Known Methods and harmonization cross sites. Specifically, the role will be responsible for the following activities: Business operations focal to productivity/capacity improvements with operations, Logistics IE and Logistics Service Providers. Support management in the development and governance of partner strategies and process governance Develop and sustain compliance programs (Logistics related such as RBA, 6S etc ) Site Logistics Business Continuity Plan Focal. Collaborating with area owners on risk assessments and mitigation strategies Metrics alignment and drive consistent performance reporting standards Projects as assigned by management Collaborate and share knowledge with cross functional teams on new initiatives. Represent Logistics and support new initiatives as driven by business and manufacturing operations Act as compliance focal for Logistics audits and internal reviews Work closely with management to align and drive corporate initiatives Identify and drive process improvements to enhance productivity, capacity and cost efficiency Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure achievement of organizational and functional goals and objectives Maintain logistic information databases and data accuracy in accordance with corporate policies. Prepares & reviews files for import/export documents such as customs declarations, (SLI) shippers letter of instruction, SED (shipper's export declaration), IC (import certificate), etc. required for the lawful completion of import/export activities. Ensures that commercial and sales invoices are accurate in accordance with physical shipment and customer's SLI, quantities, value of goods, country of origin, and other regulatory requirements. Administers the efficient and economical movement of goods in compliance with relevant local, country and international customs laws and processes. Other Requirements: This position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools. Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, logistics operations, transportation management, supply chain, or related field. Demonstrated experience and track records in leading logistics operations / projects and driven process improvements. Minimum 8 years relevant operations experience in Logistics disciplines and management of Logistics Service Providers Demonstrates in-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in own job family and basic knowledge of other related job families Strong communication and collaboration Skills SAP Knowledge will be an advantage Highly adaptable in a fast paced, dynamic environment High level of Business Acumen Guides, influences, and persuades others internally in related areas or externally to drive results. Attention to details and analytical in problem solving. Analytical and use of data to drive solutions. Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt flexibly Knowledge of Problem-Solving Tools (such as 8D, DMAIC)
