Logistics Operative (Late Shift) Department: Logistics Employment Type: Part Time Location: Overland Park, Morley Compensation: £21,000 / year Description About the team: At Vintage Cash Cow, our Logistics Team keeps our warehouse and goods moving. Working across multiple specialist areas, from check-in to stock control, returns, and marketplace we ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of stock through our facilities. Every item we handle matters: many are vintage, one-of-a-kind, and often customer-owned before sale. This means we operate to exceptionally high standards of care, accuracy, and accountability. About the role: As a Logistics Operative, you’ll train across different teams within our logistics function, supporting the journey of each item from arrival to dispatch. You’ll inspect, handle, pack, and move vintage and precious goods with the utmost care, ensuring that every piece is protected and presented to our quality standards. This hands-on role is physically active and requires a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to meet daily performance targets while maintaining accuracy. Late Shift: 3:30pm – 10:00pm. Working days: Monday to Friday. Contracted hours: Weekly 32.5 hours, with a 30-minute unpaid break each day. Salary: The salary for this role is £21,000 pa, plus a shift allowance on top. Key Responsibilities Maintain exceptional accuracy when inspecting, processing, and recording stock. Protect the integrity and value of vintage and precious goods through careful, consistent handling. Identify and report any defects, damage, or inconsistencies before items move to the next stage. Follow strict quality guidelines to ensure only goods meeting our standards leave the warehouse. Safely lift, move, and sort stock up to 30kg, ensuring efficient movement between departments. Work at pace without compromising safety or quality. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across goods-in, quality control, packing, and dispatch. Communicate issues clearly and promptly to maintain smooth operations. Meet or exceed daily and weekly performance targets while maintaining accuracy. Adapt to workload changes and remain productive in a fast-paced environment. Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and feedback. Cross-train across multiple logistics functions to build versatility and support the team. Inspect and handle goods with care, especially fragile, high-value, and vintage items. Pack and repack stock to meet internal quality control standards and customer expectations. Use inventory systems to track and manage stock flow. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Previous warehouse or logistics experience, ideally with quality control responsibilities. Proven ability to handle fragile or valuable goods safely and accurately. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards. Physical capability to lift and move stock safely (up to 30kg). Team-oriented with a proactive attitude and strong communication skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with daily performance targets. Familiarity with quality inspection, repacking, and inventory systems is desirable.
