Description
Description Logistics & Permitting Coordinator Role Overview The Logistics & Permitting Coordinator is a foundational role at MRA, responsible for the "behind-the-scenes" legwork that makes our mobile tours possible. You will ensure our activations have a legal place to stand and the proper documentation to get there. This role requires a mix of research, administrative precision, and proactive communication with government agencies. Key Responsibilities Site Vetting: Use Google Earth and other mapping tools to virtually scout locations, ensuring sites can accommodate large-scale tour assets (clearance, turning radii, and surface stability). Permit Acquisition: Research, apply for, and secure all necessary city, county, and state permits for tour stops across North America. Government Liaison: Act as the point of contact for municipal departments to navigate local ordinances and zoning requirements. Fleet Support: Assist the logistics team with truck registrations, IRP/IFTA paperwork, and maintaining organized vehicle files. Documentation: Maintain a centralized database of site maps, permit statuses, and contact logs for each tour location. Required Qualifications Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Google Earth Pro and the ability to interpret satellite imagery for logistics planning. Communication: Strong professional writing and verbal skills for negotiating with city officials. Detail-Oriented: A "check-it-twice" mindset, especially regarding legal paperwork and deadlines. Experience: Basic understanding of municipal permitting processes or logistics administration is a plus, but we are willing to train the right entry-level candidate. Entry Level Requirements Are you a detail-oriented researcher who loves solving puzzles? MRA is looking for a **Logistics & Permitting Coordinator** to join our team in Madison Heights. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone looking to break into the world of experiential marketing and logistics. You’ll be the person who ensures our mobile tours have the green light to roll into cities across the country. What You’ll Do: * Scout tour locations using Google Earth to ensure our rigs fit perfectly. * Navigate the world of city permits, working with local governments to get the "OK" for our events. * Support our fleet operations by handling truck registrations and essential paperwork. * Ensure every tour stop is compliant, safe, and ready for action. What We’re Looking For * You know your way around a map and feel comfortable using digital tools for site research. * You aren’t afraid to pick up the phone and talk to a city clerk or a government agency. * You are highly organized and can manage multiple deadlines without breaking a sweat. * A "can-do" attitude—this is a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same! Ready to get the show on the road?
