Responsibilities
  • Delivery scheduling and communicating with drivers while maintaining excellent customer service
  • Build and Maintain Customer Relationships – earning their trust and preference by meeting their needs
  • Ability to determine correct truck and trailer to service customers
  • Accurately complete corresponding delivery paperwork and work with production, sales and customers to communicate issues with loads and delivery time
  • Must be customer service driven
  • Regularly communicate, interact and coordinate with internal and external customers
  • Organize various components to form single shipment
  • Build relationships with carriers/vendors
  • Check items to be shipped against work orders to ensure that quantities, destinations, and routings are correct
  • Proactively manage customer accounts, including customer contact with pending delivery issues
  • Prepares position reports in Excel to display customer and contract data, material type, delivery schedule, and supplier’s contract numbers
  • Obtain accurate information relating to shipment dates and expected dates of delivery
