Caterpillar is seeking a Logistics Planning Analyst in Waco, TX. In this role, you will work with our global suppliers to schedule, plan, and oversee material procurement, production and delivery processes.

SUMMARY PAY RANGE:

$79,800.00 - $119,760.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO IN THIS ROLE:

  • Participates in material scheduling and delivery processes in accordance with current productivity and cost efficiency standards.
  • Develops and executes material planning for a product line to ensure that all material requirements for assigned programs are met within the allocated time frame.
  • Participate in cross functional meetings to problem solve material shortages.
  • Coordinate material releases and inventory levels across plants, warehouses, and suppliers.
  • Analyze sales orders and production requirements to determine material needs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve performance issues.
  • Support engineering changes and new product introductions by adjusting material plans.

  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Vendor Management: Knowledge of vendor management methodologies, technologies and processes; ability to gain increased value and excellent services from vendors, as well as costs control and risk mitigation throughout the deal life cycle.
