SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
ROLE PURPOSE
The Logistics Planning Coordinator will report directly to the Head of Supply Chain with responsibility for providing a comprehensive logistics plan for the Supply Chain Department. You will also work very closely with our Customer Service Team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Preparing a robust weekly logistics plan in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Working closely with the Production Team and Head of Supply Chain to manage material flow in/out.
- Provide leadership of day-to-day planning issues
- Managing the Logistics Scheduling Team
- Customer and plant liaison to help plan the weekly requirements and ensure optimum efficiency of the site.
- Managing stock levels using IT systems and digital devices
- Working with all other internal departments to effectively handle complaints, events, non-conformance, ensuring support plans are in place to maintain long-term supplier/customer relationships.
- Monitoring quality control and keeping warehouse capacity at optimal levels
- Supporting implementation and development of systems to help continuous improvement throughout the logistics operation.
- Promoting and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and offering support and assistance in your role as a logistics team member.
- Ensuring all your appraisal paperwork is completed in accordance with guidelines and that you maintain personal responsibility for your own personal development, including any continuous professional development your role demands.
