Join us and be part of a company that shapes the maritime industry’s future. About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics & Planning Specialist – Refrigerants. This role ensures availability, accuracy, and efficient flow of refrigerant cylinder assets within an assigned geographical area. You will drive system and process compliance using our core tools (including IFS) and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support operational needs and customer requirements. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment with exposure to global operations, complex logistics networks, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Who you will report to: Logistics & Planning Specialist – Refrigerants will report to Global Logistics Manager - Refrigerants What you will be doing: Serve as the primary contact for all matters relating to refrigerant cylinder availability and issues within your assigned region. Act as secondary support for cylinder-related queries during teammate absences. Plan asset (cylinder) investments and prepare justified proposals. Manage stock through effective reshuffling, replenishment, and monitoring to meet service level targets. Ensure accuracy of inventory data and planning parameters to optimize system-generated stock proposals. Continuously drive cost-saving initiatives related to refrigerant purchases, cylinder maintenance, and transport optimization. Collaborate with operations, procurement, filling factories, QHSSE, product management, and sales teams on regulatory, operational, and forecasting matters, including extraordinary requirements such as drydocks, newbuilds, and cruise repositioning. Ensure full compliance with processes and regulations, including regulatory requirements, system transactions, and cylinder conversion or scrapping procedures. Analyze root causes of stock level variances, receiving/stocking issues, and cylinder quality concerns, and develop effective resolutions. Support the Global Logistics Manager – Refrigerants with data analysis, operational reporting, and improvements to processes, documentation, and training materials. Proactively identify gaps and improvement opportunities. Manage refrigerant bulk purchasing for Rotterdam. Maintain the Supplier Country of Origin database for Rotterdam. Perform other related duties as assigned. What we are looking for: Strong analytical and inventory management skills Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority Process-focused mindset with continuous improvement orientation Excellent communication and coordination capabilities Experience in logistics, inventory planning, or asset management (preferred) Familiarity with ERP systems such as IFS (advantageous) Strong, hands-on understanding of customs procedures, import/export documentation, and regulatory requirements related to product entry, movement, and distribution (advantageous) What you bring: University/Degree level in the fields of Business Administration, Logistics or similar or a minimum of 2 years hands on experience from Inventory Management and Supplier Purchasing/Relationship Management Strong business acumen with hands-on experience in inventory management, supplier purchasing, and business analysis Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office tools Solid understanding of logistics processes, corporate procedures, and market needs Able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with competing priorities Strong multitasking, organization, and time-management skills Effective at collaborating with cross-functional teams and all levels of management Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and networking abilities What we offer: Working in Wilhelmsen can offer a culture and work environment of strong leadership, career development, work-life balance and a job that is both challenging and stimulating.
