Qualifications Sought

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Engineering field; and an advanced degree, preferably MBA completed or in process with suitable experience
  • 8+ years of experience leading project or program teams and/or in a people leadership role

  • 5+ years of tracked vehicle experience, either as a user/maintainer, engineer, or member of a tracked vehicle program team

Responsibilities

This is a senior project and program management role within the Logistics, Test, and Evaluation (LT&E) organization. The Logistics Program Management Senior Specialist leads an Integrated Product Team (IPT), managing and overseeing the planning, execution, and control of major Logistics product development programs. This specialist will provide team oversight, senior-level guidance and direction, and have direct accountability to the Program Management Office, Government PM, and Executive Leadership Team as a key member of the Program Team.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role

  • Management of the Abrams Futures Product Support IPT, including ownership for IPT scope, budget, and schedule
  • Oversight and guidance over the Abrams Futures PS IPT team, including the Abrams Futures PS IPT Deputy; System Support Package lead; Special Tools & Test Equipment lead; and other supporting team members
  • Representing GDLS in Government meetings and milestone reviews
  • Leading coordination across multi-department Program teams, including Finance, Contracts, Engineering, and Test
  • Monitoring program performance, including Earned Value and resource allocations
  • Program-level risk management
  • Leading development of major competitive proposals as part of the Program Team
