JOB OVERVIEW

The Career Foundation is seeking a driven and experienced Sales Representative on behalf of our employer partner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation and logistics, with in-depth knowledge of drayage, intermodal transport, transloading, oversized cargo, and full-service supply chain solutions across Canada and the U.S.
This position is ideal for a proactive, client-focused professional who excels at identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering tailored logistics solutions to meet diverse customer needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience within the logistics, freight, or transportation industry
  • Solid understanding of North American trucking, intermodal operations, and/or freight brokerage services
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-driven and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to sales
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Proficient with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with clients requiring freight and logistics solutions
  • Promote a full range of services, including drayage, FTL, LTL, warehousing, and specialized cargo handling
  • Actively generate leads, conduct cold outreach, and follow up on inbound sales inquiries
  • Develop and deliver customized proposals and presentations based on client needs
  • Nurture long-term relationships with existing clients to encourage satisfaction and repeat business
  • Work closely with operations and pricing teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients
  • Consistently achieve or surpass monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline using CRM tools (if applicable)
