About you and this role As a Demurrage Claim Coordinator, you will manage the full administrative lifecycle of demurrage claims using the VIP system. You play a key role in ensuring timely claim registration, documentation accuracy, stakeholder communication, and smooth coordination with the Demurrage Specialist. You bring structure, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills to keep the end‑to‑end claim process streamlined, compliant, and efficient. You are detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment. You ensure accurate administration, timely follow-up, and effective communication with vessel owners, internal teams, and external partners. You support not just demurrage claim handling but also logistics-related tasks such as document follow-up, vetting checks, KPI monitoring, and invoice validation. Responsibilities Register demurrage claims in the VIP system and ensure timely communication with stakeholders. Send acknowledgement emails to vessel owners and create recharge claims in VIP (where applicable) for Demurrage Specialist review. Support the Demurrage Specialist through claim review and follow-up, ensuring all documents and tasks are completed on time. Perform administrative and reporting tasks in VIP after claim review. Maintain oversight of all claim statuses, ensuring timely handling and compliance with internal standards. Monitor, maintain, and report on demurrage KPIs, ensuring transparency and performance tracking. Conduct data analysis, including demurrage accrual evaluations. Follow up on missing documents with internal teams and external providers to meet deadlines. Perform invoice checks (e.g., SGS validation). Support preparation and coordination of vetting check requests. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support process improvements and operational efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 0–3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably within the chemical or manufacturing industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, reporting tools, VIP, and SAP ECC. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Excellent time management abilities. High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Your Skills Strong understanding of demurrage processes, systems, and procedures. Familiarity with claim management platforms such as VIP. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and compliance. Ability to prioritize effectively under time-sensitive conditions. Strong stakeholder management and communication ability. Analytical mindset, particularly regarding KPI tracking and data interpretation.
