JOB SUMMARY The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing pickup activities and related processes, both before and after pickup—up to one hour post-departure. This role involves short-cycle tasks such as confirming carrier arrival times, performing check calls for arrivals and departures, and inputting shipment data. In addition, the role includes longer-cycle responsibilities such as analyzing compliance performance, ensuring information accuracy, and escalating issues related to carrier communication or system deviations. This position closely aligns with a Logistics Coordinator role but carries additional ownership over process monitoring and escalation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Confirm Carrier ETA at least 2 hours before pickup. * Confirm arrival check calls. * Report loading delays or issues. * Update trailer numbers and delivery notes in system. * Stop departure from supplier when required. * Communicate TONU (Truck Ordered Not Used) situations through appropriate escalation channels. * Maintain real-time shipment status within Optimiz. * Identify and escalate deviations to Operations and IT systems. JOB REQUIREMENTS * Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, SharePoint, and Visio. * Experience with ProTrans systems: Optimize, BIAPPS, IT Client Portal, Cloud.Samsara, Insight.Skybitz. * Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
