JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-driven Logistics Specialist to oversee and enhance our end-to-end supply chain operations. This pivotal role demands strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of logistics systems to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods. As a Logistics Specialist, you will play a key role in optimizing transportation networks, managing vendor relationships, and driving continuous improvement across our logistics functions.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably within the food production or consumer goods industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in logistics software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Thorough understanding of transportation regulations, customs procedures, and global supply chain dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proven track record of managing complex logistics networks and driving operational improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement efficient logistics strategies to support business goals and customer requirements.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Coordinate complex shipping schedules and delivery appointments using advanced logistics platforms and customer-specific software.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations, transportation laws, and internal quality standards.
  • Monitor and analyze logistics KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, freight cost per unit, inventory turnover) to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to align logistics operations with inventory and demand planning.
  • Resolve transportation and delivery issues swiftly, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and service reliability.
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including customs documentation, import/export compliance, and freight classification.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce transportation costs, improve delivery speed, and enhance supply chain resilience.
  • Develop contingency plans for potential supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory movements, and vendor performance metrics.
