Description
Reporting to the Group Manager – Procurement and Supply Chain, the Logistics Superintendent provides strategic direction and operational leadership across all offshore inbound logistics. You will oversee contractor performance, manage a small on site Brisbane logistics team, and ensure cost effective, accurate, and compliant movement of goods.   You will also act in a higher duty capacity in the absence of the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager.   Roster: 5 Days on and 2 Days off Monday to Friday at our Milton office with travel to Australasia sites as required. Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities. In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. In Australia, Harmony owns the high-grade CSA copper mine in Cobar, NSW and is constructing the Eva Copper Mine in Cloncurry, QLD with first production targeted for the second half of the 2028 calendar year. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane.
Responsibilities
The Logistics Superintendent reports to the Group Manager – Procurement and Supply Chain, providing strategic direction and operational leadership for all offshore inbound logistics, including overseeing contractor performance and managing the Brisbane logistics team. This role ensures the cost-effective, accurate, and compliant movement of goods and involves acting in a higher duty capacity when the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager is absent.
