Description Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Logistics Supervisor to lead our packaging, shipping, and material handling operations. This role combines hands-on warehouse work with documentation accuracy, container fabrication oversight, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will ensure goods are shipped safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Shipping & Transportation Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation vendors Monitor shipment schedules and resolve delays Supervise loading/unloading and ensure proper packaging and documentation Drive company vehicles for pickups and deliveries (CDL preferred) Maintain delivery vehicle condition and compliance Documentation & Coordination Prepare and approve shipping documents (BOLs, packing slips, labels) Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and vendors Maintain accurate digital records of shipments and inventory Container Fabrication Oversight Supervise or assist in building and repairing shipping crates/containers Ensure compliance with safety and structural standards Manage inventory levels to support shipping operations Leadership & Supervision Train and manage shipping staff Delegate tasks and drive accountability Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements Promote a safety-first culture and enforce PPE and hazard reporting Requirements Qualifications Experience: 3–5 years in logistics/shipping; 1+ year in a supervisory role License: CDL (Class A preferred); must obtain Class B within 6 months Skills: ERP systems, Microsoft Office, ability to read technical drawings Education: High school diploma required; degree in Logistics/Supply Chain preferred Certifications: Forklift required; OSHA/DOT training a plus
