JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Logistics Supervisor to oversee our logistics operations. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient management of supply chain activities, including inventory control, warehouse distribution, and transportation management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of logistics processes to optimize our operations and enhance service delivery.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management roles, particularly in warehouse distribution and transportation management.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control processes, freight operations, and shipping & receiving protocols.
  • Familiarity with procurement practices, materials management, and packaging standards.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software including transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP systems such as AS400.
  • Excellent data analysis skills to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Experience with forklift operation is preferred; certification may be required.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to effectively manage teams.

  • Supervise daily logistics operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage supply chain activities including purchasing, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Oversee warehouse management functions, including shipping & receiving, picking & packing, and materials handling.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in logistics operations.
  • Utilize transportation management systems for effective transportation planning and fleet management.
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Analyze data related to logistics performance and supply chain analytics for informed decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on demand planning and category management initiatives.
