Description SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES The Logistics Supervisor supervises, and coordinates activities of workers concerned with picking products and preparing them for same day shipping both nationally and internationally. Must be able to communicate well the objectives and goals to the team. Acts as a liaison between the Material Handlers, Leads, and Materials Manager. The Logistics Supervisor communicates key details and changes in a timely and professional manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Oversee daily operations of the warehouse, shipping and receiving, ensuring all safety policies, quality standards, and production targets are met. Supervise, train, and motivate team to foster a high-performance culture. Assist Materials Manager in ensuring a positive work environment. Ensure that company policies and procedures are communicated and followed. Communicate expectations, assignments, and responsibilities clearly and professionally. Report to Manager and Human Resources on any employee relations issues immediately and assist with communication. Help to identify performance strengths and needs of the Warehouse employees and recommend to the Materials Manager an action plan to reward and/or to correct. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety in the warehouse. Develop Continuous Training and Development of staff performance. Provide coaching, feedback, and performance reviews for staff. Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow. Assign duties and examine work for efficiency. Inspect materials, products, and equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Ensure correct shipment of international orders and hazardous materials orders. Work with management staff within the company to support production, inventory, and quality assurance procedures. Reads, understands, and analyzes warehouse productivity reports. KEY RESULT AREAS Ability to: Resolve complex issues To prepare and maintain accurate records and reports for logistics, inventory levels and performance metrics. Ensure delivery of products in a timely manner Analyze deficiencies and implement plans to correct Inventory control Lead and communicate professionally Motivate team Serve as Safety advocate and enforcer Requirements Job Requirements 3+ yrs in warehouse/manufacturing environment 2+ yrs team lead, supervisory or management experience Read, write and communicate in English Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suites Efficient computer/software user (WMS) i.e FASCOR Strong written and verbal communication skills REQUIRED EDUCATION High Diploma or GED required Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS Temperature in the warehouse can vary to summer and winter temperatures Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs Ability to climb ladders Must be able to bend at the knees and the waist Must be able to twist at torso Must have good range of motion in arms
