Description Job Summary: Forgent Power is seeking a Logistics Supervisor with Industry Technical Expertise. The ideal candidate would have experience and be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of goods. This role ensures that products are delivered on time, cost-effectively, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Logistics Supervisor works closely with customers, carriers, warehouse teams, and internal departments to optimize the supply chain. This is a full-time, salaried, position. Typical working hours will be Monday – Friday with standard hours ranging from 7:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Additional working hours will be required dependent on the work load. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and manage inbound and outbound logistics operations Oversee transportation and distribution activities Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and vendors Monitor logistics costs, prepare budgets, and identify opportunities for cost reduction Analyze logistics performance metrics and implement process improvements Ensure compliance with local, national, and international shipping regulations Manage and lead logistics staff, including hiring, training, and performance reviews Resolve shipment delays, damages, and other logistics-related issues Coordinate with purchasing, production, sales, and customer service teams Implement and maintain logistics systems and tools (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP) Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, related field, or pertinent work experience Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management Knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution Equipment preferred Strong knowledge of shipping regulations and transportation modes Proven experience managing teams and third-party service providers Proficiency with logistics software, Microsoft Office tools, and Lean principles Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Ability to pass background and drug test prior to employment. Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish daily tasks while managing through shifting priorities and ambiguity Superior problem solving, project management and analytical skills Physical Requirements/Working Environment: Office-based with regular interaction with the Manufacturing floor and 3PL warehouses. This position requires the ability to sit, and bend or stand for extended periods of time. May require after-hours availability to support operations.
