Description
SAIC is looking for a Logistics Support Specialist to plan, develop and implement programs to coordinate physical distribution, order fulfillment, inventory management and control, and contract management activities. This position is located ONSITE in San Diego, CA. Must be local to area. JOB DUTIES: Receive, inventory, and store incoming material/equipment delivered to customer receiving department. Inspect incoming material for conformity to packing slips/purchase orders. Reports discrepancies/damages to appropriate authority. Assist in maintaining a well-organized database of packing slips, invoices, DD-1149s, and work orders. Assist with manages accuracy and organization of physical warehouse inventory both in person and through US Navy customer web based databases. Regularly assist with inventory reconciliations & audits. Responsible for maintaining warehouse workspace and storage locations in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. Prepare shipments of outgoing material based off detailed work order instruction. Box, wrap, pack, and otherwise prepare packages and pallets of goods for shipping. Assist in the delivery/distribution of incoming material to computer lab. REQUIREMENTS: High School and eight (8) years or more related experience. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have an Active Secret Clearance to start. Forklift Experience / Ability to obtain Forklift License. Operates forklift, pallet jack, utility cart, and various warehouse tools and equipment. Ability to lift 50+ LBS repeatedly.
