We are currently looking for a Logistics Systems Site Engineer to join our customer service engineering team based at a client's site in Luton. Role Responsiblities Proactively complete tasks and self-manage Responsible for spare parts stock control Responsible for identifying equipment reliability and areas that can be improved. To undertake repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices To comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times To accurately record all work undertaken To represent the company in a professional manner at all times and maintain customer relations To adhere to the Quality processes and procedures as set out by the company Communicate effectively with Line Managers Any other duties which reasonably correspond to the general character of this role Provide 24 / call out cover (only if site not working 24/7) as part of call out rota Hands on ownership of issues to achieve a quick time resolution Maintain company tools, manuals and all other company property in good and clean order Deputise for Site Manager, if required Prepare and participate in the creation of method statements and risk assessments Role Requirements Essential Proven background in the maintenance and repair of automated / semi-automated intra logistic systems Strong background in Engineering A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals & drawings A knowledge of PLC equipment & related software Excellent PC literacy Excellent communication skills Health and Safety experience Physically fit and ability to work at height Desirable Technical knowledge Asi, profi-bus, profinet and can-bus systems Previous experience of working with pallet cranes Previous experience of working with pallet conveyor & connected systems Previous experience of working with tote conveyor & connected systems Full understanding of pre-preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules & procedures Working knowledge of FEM and BS standards governing the automated warehouse industry Leadership Skills Knowledge of Beckhoff / Siemens S7 PLCs IOSH minimum ONC (or equivalent) in Engineering Technical knowledge of Inverters Working with 3 phase electricity Competencies Competence Continuously seeks improvements Takes responsibility for his/her actions Adapts to new and changing demands and situations Plans and organises multiple tasks or projects High accuracy in numerical and written work.
