Your profile / your tasks:

  • Professional and organizational management of the department, including personnel responsibility
  • Review and evaluation of contracts, particularly with regard to transport conditions
  • Ensuring an efficient and seamless supply chain in the areas of procurement, production, distribution and warehouse logistics.
  • Negotiation of truck, container and air freight capacities in coordination with sister plants
  • Organization and processing of customer order shipments in close cooperation with sales and production planning.
  • Coordination of the forwarding of order data to the finished goods warehouse and external service providers
  • Planning and management of freight forwarding services
  • Monitoring of timely goods loading
  • Handling and clarification of incorrect shipments in cooperation with sales and service providers.
  • Control and verification of service provider invoices, as well as review of pricing conditions and obtaining freight quotes.
  • Monitoring and processing of inventory after completion of customer orders in accordance with the specifications of the specialist departments.
  • Organizational coordination of workflows with external logistics service providers
  • Responsibility for the management and organization of external warehouse locations
  • Coordination and execution of the annual inventory across all locations

Required knowledge:

  • Completed vocational training and further education in the field of logistics, supply chain management or a comparable discipline
  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable position and industry
  • Sound knowledge of the national and international transport market
  • Knowledge of customs and export processing
  • Proficient use of MS Office and SAP
  • Good English skills, both spoken and written.
  • Goal-oriented, customer-focused and precise working methods
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and high organizational skills
  • Persuasiveness, negotiating skills, flexibility and assertiveness
  • Excellent communication skills and team orientation
