Roles and Responsibilities The Procurement Technical Assistant provides essential support in carrying out small-scale procurement activities for NRC programmes in Jordan. This role ensures that procurement of goods and services is conducted efficiently, transparently, while fully adhering to NRC’s internal policies and donor requirements. Specific responsibilities -Conduct small-scale procurement processes (RFQs, direct purchases, and low-value procurements) in line with NRC and donor policies. - Prepare and issue requests for quotations (RFQs) and collect supplier offers - conduct basic bid analysis and support supplier selection processes. - Identify and source suppliers in the local market based on required specifications. - Maintain and regularly update the supplier database. - Ensure all procurement files are complete, accurate, and properly archived, maintaining a clear audit trail. - Verify procurement documents, including quotations, comparison sheets, and invoices. - Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. - Liaise with internal staff to clarify specifications and procurement needs. - coordinate with the Finance team to ensure accurate and complete invoice submission. - Track procurement requests and update status reports regularly. Generic responsibilities: -  Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and procurement guidelines. -Support the implementation of procurement activities according to the approved plan. - Prepare and develop procurement status reports as required by management. - Ensure proper filing of procurement documents, both electronic and hard copy. - Promote and share ideas for improvement within the procurement function. - Perform duties in line with the work and development plan. - Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards and principles. - Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers. - Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and documentation standards. - Perform any other procurement-related tasks assigned by line management. - Support in receiving and releasing stock items/Assets. - Support in fleet requests. They are relevant for all staff and are divided into the following two categories: Professional Competencies Generic professional competencies for this position: •Experience working in procurement, administration, or a related technical field. •Previous experience in humanitarian or development contexts is an advantage. •Documented results related to procurement responsibilities. • Basic knowledge of English.
