Description Facilities Maintenance Technician I (Entry-Level) CAT Atlanta – East Peoria, IL (Warehouse / Logistics Environment) $20–$22/hr. (DOE) 1st Shift | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM Temporary Role (Minimum 4 Weeks – Potential to Extend) Get Your Foot in the Door Looking to build your skills in maintenance and get hands-on experience in a warehouse setting? This is a great opportunity to work alongside an experienced technician, learn the trade, and prove yourself for potential longer-term opportunities. A Day in the Life Start your shift reviewing work orders and daily priorities Handle basic repairs like replacing lights, fixing leaks, and unclogging drains Assist with troubleshooting equipment and facility issues Perform routine maintenance (filters, inspections, basic upkeep) Work side-by-side with an experienced technician Help keep the facility safe, clean, and running smoothly Wrap up by documenting completed work What You’ll Work On Box-building Lighting, outlets, and basic electrical repairs Plumbing systems (minor leaks, drains, fixtures) Warehouse equipment and facility systems General building maintenance and upkeep Tools You’ll Use: Hand tools and power tools Basic electrical testers (multimeter) Maintenance/work order tracking systems Requirements What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone with basic mechanical skills who’s ready to learn and grow in a warehouse maintenance environment. Basic mechanical aptitude (repairs, tools, troubleshooting) Some commercial or industrial experience preferred Comfortable working in a warehouse environment You’ll be working alongside an experienced technician Fork truck experience is a plus, but not required Strong work ethic and willingness to learn What to Know This is a temporary position (minimum 4 weeks), with the possibility of extending Entry-level Maintenance Technician I (Tech 1) role Physical, hands-on work in an active warehouse environment Safety is a top priority (PPE required) Why Apply?
