OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Warehouse/Logistics Manager to oversee the warehouse and and enhance our logistics operations . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the supply chain processes, ensuring efficient transportation and warehousing, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of business processes and the ability to optimise our logistics strategies to improve overall efficiency.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in logistics management or a related field is essential.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation is desirable. ( training can be provided if not)
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.
  • Experience with transportation management systems and warehouse management systems is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse business processes for optimisation opportunities.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing teams effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate all logistics activities, including receiving, collating loads, cross checking loads, and warehousing operations.
  • Develop and implement transportation management systems to streamline processes.
  • Utilise warehouse management systems to optimise stock control and assist with timely reordering.
  • Oversee the movement of product from point of delivery, into stock, and ensuring timely delivery to our loyal customer base while adhering to quality standards.
  • Work closely with members of the team to enhance business processes related to logistics, while supervising the assistant warehouse manager/delivery driver, and overseeing outside contractors involved in deliveries made from our depot.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices within the warehouse environment.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
  • liaise with customers collecting products, data/ticket entry onto software system/ticket printing.
