The role ALS Geochemistry in Malaga seeks an enthusiastic Logistics Worker to join a professional team that strives to build strong client relationships by consistently delivering quality results on time. This is a Casual role and requires you to work in a warehouse and be responsible for specific tasks, such as storing boxes on shelves, building pallets for transfer to other sites, and scanning samples into the system. You will report to the Production Coordinator and work the day shift from Monday to Friday (from 7 am to 3 pm). The role requires lifting to 10kg and safe manual handling skills. Responsibilities include: Maintaining sample storage by following safe work practices Scanning samples into our sample management system (GEMS) using an RTF scanner Able to locate and keep track of samples Basic understanding of Microsoft Suite (specifically Excel and Work) Retrieving samples for laboratory when requested Building and wrapping pallets Numerical recognition Verbal and written communication skills Reasonable level of physical fitness The essentials Previous warehouse experience will be highly regarded A capacity to work in a high-throughput, client-focused environment A positive work attitude, a willingness to learn new skills and be a great team player Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skills Ability to work well both autonomously and in a team environment Capacity for cross-training to facilitate fluctuations in workflow and accommodate leave Working at ALS The ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.
