REQUIREMENTS
Degree in economics/finance/management from a leading university with an excellent academic record:
Coursework must include financial markets, accounting and corporate finance.
Prior relevant internship (investment banking, restructuring advisory or buy-side) experience is a plus.
Good understanding of financial markets, with a keen interest in investing (including personal investments).
Confidence with basic commercial / finance law principles is a plus.
Proficiency in financial modelling; must be able to complete a 3-statement model.
Proficiency with MS Office tools, including Excel.
Curious and eager to learn.
Confident verbal, written communication and networking skills.
Great organisational, multitasking and time management skills.
Strong analysis and judgement.
Meticulous accuracy with a keen eye for detail.
Team player, proactive, independent, enthusiastic self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent spoken and written English. Additional languages are an advantage, with a preference for German.
JOB PURPOSE
The role is to assist senior team members in the day-to-day business activities and contribute to a variety of tasks allowing a general introduction to the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in Technical and Business Skills Training.
Support senior team members with day-to-day activities, with a core focus on credit analysis and due diligence, covering strategic/commercial, financial, legal aspects (debt documentation and analysis of restructuring scenarios).
Participate in internal meetings with sales and trading.
Listen in to client calls to discuss specific credits.
