The Assistant Manager of Long Beach Cruise Terminal helps oversee daily terminal and parking garage operations, ensures facility standards are met, streamlines passenger processing, and delivers quality customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Operations Experience, Port Operations, Marine Operations or related fields.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Cruise Ship, Maritime or Associated Industry.
- Experience working with Government Agencies.
- Port Operations, Shipboard Cruise Ship Operations, Maritime, or Nautical Operations & Security Services Experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to converse well and partner with local government agencies and shipboard & shoreside operations.
- Knowledge of budgets.
- Highly motivated and able to work under own initiative.
Physical Demands: Requires regular movement throughout company facilities.
Travel: No or very little travel likely
Work Conditions: Work may require employee to work inside and/or outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
This position is classified as “in-office.” Because of the nature of the role, employees are required to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida five days each week. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
