JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight over long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
  • Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and forklifts.
  • Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
  • Basic automotive repair skills to address minor vehicle issues on the road.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet tight delivery schedules.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety.

Responsibilities
  • Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across various regions.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
  • Load and unload freight as necessary, utilizing forklift equipment when required.
  • Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local driving regulations while on the road.
