OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight across long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all transportation regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly in long haul or freight transportation.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle performance on the road.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, is preferred.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently and make decisions on the road.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with dispatchers and clients.
  • Ability to adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations throughout all operations.

Responsibilities
  • Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight over long distances, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.

  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, rest periods, and mileage as required by federal regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Load and unload freight as necessary, utilizing forklifts or other heavy equipment when required.
  • Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance during trips.
  • Follow established routes and schedules while being flexible to adapt to changes in delivery plans.
