Description
Overview OYSTER BAY, NY (NEW YORK AREA CANDIDATES ONLY): A warm, growing family is seeking an experienced full-time Nanny/Household Manager to support their two young boys, ages 4 years and 9 months, with a new baby on the way. This role is Monday through Friday from 8/9 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility for occasional nights, weekends, and travel with advanced notice. The family is looking for a nurturing, energetic caregiver who can work collaboratively with Mom and a Newborn Care Specialist, creating a cohesive, supportive environment as they navigate life with three little ones. Bilingual candidates are a plus. The ideal nanny is proactive, deeply comfortable managing the needs of multiple children at different developmental stages, and able to keep the children engaged through structured play, creativity, and consistent support. They should be comfortable playing outdoors year-round, as the oldest child loves being outside in all seasons. The family has a housekeeper, so the nanny/household manager will focus primarily on the children and maintaining a smooth household rhythm. Responsibilities include unloading the dishwasher, completing children’s laundry, running errands, assisting with grocery shopping, and keeping the home organized throughout the day. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required, and the family can provide a nanny car for all work-related driving. Comfort with pets is essential, as the family has a small, elderly chi-weenie in the home. The nanny should have all standard vaccinations; while the family is less concerned specifically about COVID, they expect all other vaccinations to be up to date. They are seeking someone who is a self-starter—someone who anticipates needs, supports the parents seamlessly, and brings warmth, professionalism, and consistency to the role. The position offers $30–$35+/hour, with flexibility based on experience. Additional benefits, if applicable, will be discussed directly with the candidate.
