Description Memorial Community Health, Inc. is looking to fill the position of a full-time Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for our long-term care unit. This position is for night shift with every other weekend required. Certified Nurse Aides support the nursing staff by performing routine tasks related to meeting the daily physical and psychological needs of residents under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse, in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan. Assists with tasks necessary for the general management and organization of the nursing unit, being flexible in meeting resident or unit needs. Job Duties: Utilizes the nursing process, for the performance of resident care, to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate resident care to achieve prioritized resident outcomes within the scope of a CNA. Observes the resident at regular intervals, answers lights promptly, and informs the charge nurse of resident observations/symptoms. Admits, dismisses and transfers residents as directed by Charge Nurse. Assists in setting priorities when delivering nursing care. Performs emergency treatment as required in accordance within a CNA scope of practice. Promotes and ensures resident and staff safety in all aspects of responsibilities. Performs and maintains documentation. Follows HIPAA regulations and ensures that the confidentiality of patients’ medical, personal, financial records, employee records, and organizational records is maintained. Complies, understands, and enforces state and federal regulatory requirements related to the performance of Memorial Community Health operations and requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA, the Code of Conduct, the Compliance Policy, Safety and Infection Control, all department and organization-wide policies, and Federal and State of Nebraska regulations.\ Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Previous CNA experience preferred Current CNA certificate with the State of Nebraska Basic Life Support (BLS)
