As the Longwall Automation Engineer at Ulan Underground Mine, you will operate as a part of the Engineering Team reporting to the Engineering Manager. About Ulan Underground Ulan Underground is an established, efficient and high production underground longwall coal mining operation situated in the western coalfields of NSW. Ulan Underground is recognised as a leader in thermal coal export, featuring state-of-the-art mining equipment and the latest technology. Requirements of the role include: Lead, maintain and develop the automation equipment and communication systems across the operations Longwall Strong focus on system automation reliability and continuous improvement aligned to delivering Mine site outputs. Ensure production work practices are consistent with procedures and industry best proactive Driving a incident prevention safety culture To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess: An electrical trade qualification and/or tertiary Engineering qualification Experience in Project Management Proficient in Microsoft suite including Project, Excel, Powerpoint and Word Technical and operational understanding of underground coal mining Willingness to implement and learn new automation methods and equipment Have a can do approach and openness to change.
