• Driving and Vehicle Operation: Safely operate commercial vehicles for transporting goods, materials, or equipment over short or long distances.
• Loading and Unloading: Assist with or supervise the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring they are properly secured and protected from damage.
• Route and Schedule Planning: Plan efficient delivery routes and schedules in coordination with transport managers or dispatchers.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle checks, including for tires, brakes, and oil, and report any issues or perform basic maintenance.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery documents, trip reports, and records of driving hours.
• Compliance: Adhere to all road haulage regulations, company policies, and traffic rules, including those for vehicle size, weight, and parking.
• Customer Service: Provide reliable and courteous service to customers, representing the company professionally.
