We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Loss Prevention Officer (LPO) to join our team and help maintain the integrity of our operations.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Loss Prevention Officer (LPO), you will be responsible for identifying and preventing theft, fraud, and other security risks within the premises. This role requires an individual who is physically fit, highly attentive to detail, and capable of effectively responding to security situations while ensuring compliance with company policies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Alberta Security License is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Loss Prevention Officer (LPO) experience in Canada.
  • Must have Use of Force and handcuff training and be able to use these techniques appropriately in security-related situations.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English.
  • Physically fit and able to stand, walk, or patrol for long periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and trustworthy with a strong sense of integrity.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience working in retail or corporate security.
  • First aid and CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of local laws and regulations regarding security and safety protocols.

    Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and patrol the premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies.
  • Use of Force and handcuff training as necessary to handle security situations safely and appropriately.
  • Conduct investigations and document findings related to theft, damage, or other suspicious activities.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of employees, customers, and assets.
  • Complete detailed reports regarding security breaches, incidents, and actions taken.
  • Work closely with local law enforcement, management, and other departments as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to questions and concerns from employees and customers in a professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate logs and security records for the premises.
