Description
Description Day shift. No nights. No weekends. Good pay for the right person. TrueNorth Recovery is hiring a Lot Attendant at our Durham location. This is a ground-level operations job — you're the person who keeps our vehicle lot running every day. You'll check in cars that came in overnight, photograph and inventory personal property, process paperwork for vehicle releases, and help customers who come in to pick up their vehicle or belongings. It's a busy, physical job. You're on your feet, outdoors some of the time, moving between the lot and the office. If you like staying busy, having a clear routine, and going home at a reasonable hour, this fits. WHAT YOU EARN $17–$19/hr depending on experience That's above what most lot and yard jobs pay in North Carolina. You start at $17 and earn your way up. WHAT YOU GET $500 bonus after your first 60-days Medical, dental, and vision insurance — rare at this type of job Paid time off Life insurance Paid training — we teach you everything, no experience in repo required Referral bonuses — get paid when someone you bring in gets hired Consistent Monday — Friday daytime schedule — nights and weekends are yours WHAT THE JOB LOOKS LIKE DAY TO DAY You come in at 8. The first thing you do is walk the lot — vehicles came in overnight and you need to account for every one of them. You mark the windshield with the VIN, client, key status, and whether the car runs. Then you pull personal property out of each vehicle, photograph it, inventory it, and store it in a labeled bin. Through the day you process paperwork for cars leaving the lot — whether they're being released to the owner, sent to auction, or picked up for transport. When customers come in to get their car or their belongings, you handle that transaction: paperwork on a tablet, collect payment, escort them to the vehicle or property. Some customers are frustrated — having your car repossessed is stressful. We train you on how to handle those conversations calmly and professionally. It's not a confrontational job, but you need to be the kind of person who stays level when someone else isn't. At the end of the day the lot is clean, organized, and accounted for. You leave at 4. THIS JOB IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU'VE WORKED IN Warehouse, inventory, or shipping/receiving Auto dealership lot or porter work Impound or tow yard operations Retail or customer service where you handled cash or paperwork Any job that required you to stay organized and keep track of things No repo experience required. We train from scratch. MILITARY & SECOND CHANCE EMPLOYER Military background is not required but is strongly valued. We also believe in second chances — a prior record doesn't automatically disqualify you. We look at the full picture. ABOUT TRUENORTH RECOVERY TrueNorth Recovery is a professional vehicle repossession company serving the majority of North Carolina. We run a structured, well-supported operation. You won't be thrown in without training, and you won't be left without support. Requirements Able to pass a background check Comfortable with a tablet and smartphone for digital paperwork Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Comfortable working outdoors in different weather Reliable — this job runs on schedule and we need someone who shows up Ready to work?
