Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lot Attendant to join our Durham team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for managing our vehicle inventory, processing personal property from recovered vehicles, and providing professional service to customers during redemptions and property pickups. This is a lot-focused position with no field recovery work required. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in organization and accuracy, and can work independently while maintaining clear communication with the team. Requirements What We're Looking For Age 23 or older Ability to pass a background check and drug screen High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable transportation to and from work Smartphone with a quality camera Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Must pass a background check Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions Required Skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and digital documentation systems Professional communication skills for customer interactions Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Calm, professional demeanor when handling sensitive customer situations Job Responsibilities As a Lot Attendant at Unlimited Recovery, your role is essential to maintaining efficient vehicle inventory and providing professional service to customers. Responsibilities include: Vehicle & Property Management Account for all vehicles on the lot, verifying overnight recoveries and marking windshields with VIN, client, key status, and drivability Remove and inventory personal property from vehicles, creating detailed records with photos and storing items in properly labeled bins Process vehicles for auction by removing all personal belongings and license plates Customer Service & Redemptions Handle vehicle redemptions: process paperwork on tablet, collect payment, and release vehicle to customer Manage personal property appointments: have customers sign forms, collect payment, and escort them during property retrieval Maintain professional, courteous interactions in all customer situations Lot Operations & Coordination Facilitate vehicle transports by processing paperwork and providing keys to drivers Maintain cleanliness and organization of the storage lot, property area, and office Communicate with team members via Microsoft Teams and Outlook The Perks • Competitive pay: Starting at $17/hour, depending on experience • Consistent daytime schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM • Comprehensive benefits package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance • Paid time off • Life insurance • Paid training and ongoing support • Modern technology tools: Tablets for digital paperwork, professional software systems • Career advancement opportunities • Referral program • Supportive, team-oriented environment Schedule & Location Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Location: Durham, NC Job Type: Full-Time Military & Fair Chance Employer Military background not required, but highly valued.
