Description Ideal Ready Mix is looking for a dependable Diesel Mechanic with a CDL who can also operate a lowboy trailer to transport heavy equipment as needed. This dual-role position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving mechanical problems, and hitting the road when required. What You’ll Do As a Diesel Mechanic: Service, repair, and maintain diesel trucks and heavy equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues Perform preventative maintenance and inspections Accurately document all work performed Train operators on inspections and vehicle care As a Lowboy Driver: Safely haul oversized loads and heavy equipment to job sites Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and secure loads per DOT standards Assist with loading/unloading and basic equipment troubleshooting Maintain trip logs and deliver paperwork Requirements Valid CDL and ability to pass a DOT physical Strong diesel mechanic experience (gas, diesel, hydraulic, electrical systems) Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in all weather conditions Must provide own mechanic hand tools Willingness to travel, work night/ weekends as needed What We Offer Competitive Pay Medical, dental, disability & life insurance Retirement savings plan PTO starting day one + Paid holidays Additional Requirements: All offers are contingent upon successful post-offer drug testing, background check, and motor vehicle record verification.
