Our teams are responsible for designing and delivering streamlined solutions, which directly impact our customers during their time of need, using the Pega platform – a widely known low code technology renowned for accelerating development and deployment. Check out Pega.com if you haven’t heard of the technology before – it’s pretty impressive. Although this technology has been around for a while, it has recently been supercharged and now offers impressive capabilities augmenting workflow automation with Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. At Aflac Northern Ireland we are utilising Pega to develop smart technology solutions that will directly improve our customer experience. And if Pega is not something you have commercial experience with, we will provide full training and certification to get you up to speed with the product – it will be the first step of a continuous learning journey at Aflac Northern Ireland!

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We want experienced Software Engineers who get excited about new technologies, and are self-motivated to learn new skills. As part of our Agile teams, we will provide you with the training and the exposure to get you rapidly up to speed with Pega – our enterprise workflow automation platform.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Delivering high-quality, tested, secure customer-centric solutions using the Pega platform
  • Integration of different technical components (web, API, database, UI, etc) to develop full-stack capabilities for Pega solutions
  • Participating in daily stand-ups and contributing to an Agile development team that values the opinion of everyone in the team
  • Utilising a range of tools and technologies that vary depending on the product and the needs of the customer
  • Continually growing and developing your technical skills through self-learning, exposure to new projects, and being curious
  • Listening to the inputs of others and working towards the best solution design that maximises the value to the policyholder, without ego or prejudice
  • Solving complex problems alongside fellow team membersImplementing automation through a CI/CD delivery process, employing DevOps techniques
