Join Us as a Pet Store Clerk! Weavers Way Co-op is looking for an energetic, creative, and experienced individual to work as a Pet Clerk in our Mt. Airy/Across the Way location. This is a low-time, non-exempt position, working an anticipated 19 hours per week; Friday PM, Saturday PM and Sunday PM. If you have experience working with pet products, a love of animals, and a desire to learn, then we want to hear from you! We are excited to have this opportunity available for the right candidate. This position requires a focus on customer service as a top priority. Customer requests/complaints are to be addressed quickly and effectively. Although we do not sell pets at Across the Way, we welcome pets inside this store! Requirements Responsibilities - Greet customers and assist them in finding the right products for their pets - Maintain a clean and organized store environment - Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately - Stock shelves and ensure inventory is well-stocked - Provide information to customers about pet care and nutrition - Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner - Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve store goals Requirements - Availability to work the following schedule: Friday PM, Saturday PM and Sunday PM. - Commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-op - Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred - Passion for animals and their well-being - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds - Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed - Be, or become upon a hiring, a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op
