Description The MedRVA Foundation is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Practice Manager to lead and oversee operations of our nonprofit Low Vision Center. This center provides vital care and rehabilitation services to individuals with vision impairment, supporting independence, dignity, and improved quality of life. The Practice Manager will oversee all daily operational, financial, billing, compliance, and administrative aspects of the Low Vision Center. Supervisory Responsibilities: · Oversee and support a team including 1 Optometrist, 1 Occupational Therapist, 1 Low Vision Technicians, 1 PreK Screening Program Coordinator and 1 Front Desk Registrar. Duties and Responsibilities Operational Leadership · Direct and manage daily operations of the Low Vision Center to ensure smooth, efficient, and patient-centered care. · Oversee and support a team including 5 direct reports · Develop and implement processes to improve workflow efficiency, patient scheduling, and overall productivity. · Monitor facility operations, maintenance, and compliance with all safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards. Financial Management · Prepare and manage the annual operating budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with Foundation goals. · Monitor revenues and expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. · Partner with the MedRVA Fundraising on grant funding, donations, and other revenue sources that support the Center’s sustainability. Staff Management & Development · Recruit, train, and mentor staff to promote professional growth, teamwork, and accountability. · Approve timecards and time off calendar for employees · Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and provide ongoing feedback. · Foster a supportive environment that encourages collaboration and patient-centered care. Patient Experience & Community Engagement · Ensure the delivery of exceptional patient service and care coordination. · Partner with marketing to promote awareness of the Center’s mission and services through outreach, partnerships, and community engagement initiatives. · Collaborate with referring providers and community organizations to strengthen referral networks and patient access. Strategic Alignment & Mission Stewardship · Ensure all operations, policies, and initiatives reflect the MedRVA Foundation’s mission to improve community health and quality of life through accessible care. · Participate in strategic planning and program development to expand services and enhance impact. · Track outcomes and performance metrics to measure success and report results to leadership and stakeholders. Requirements Required Skills: · Demonstrated experience in operations management, budgeting, staffing, and process improvement. · Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. · Passion for serving patients with vision impairment and advancing community-based healthcare. Education and Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred). · 5+ years of management experience in a healthcare, optometric, rehabilitation, or nonprofit environment.
