Description

Low Voltage AV Technician Requirements:

  • 1+ years of AV installation experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of AV systems and construction sites
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more (e.g., large TVs, panels)
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to read and interpret AV schematics and blueprints
  • Experience with hand and power tools for mounting and installation
  • Willingness to travel overnight for projects (primarily within the Carolinas)
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Preferred certifications (CTS, CTS-I, Manufacturer, and OSHA) but not require
Responsibilities
  • Installing new AV systems and upgrading existing setups
  • Mounting and securing AV equipment such as displays, projectors, cameras, microphones, and control systems
  • Running, pulling, and terminating low-voltage cabling through conduit and other structures
  • Accurately reading and following AV schematics and blueprints
  • Troubleshooting and testing equipment to ensure proper functionality
  • Building and wiring AV equipment racks
  • Working with hand and power tools to safely install systems
  • Coordinating with programmers and quality control teams to ensure project success
  • Maintaining clean, organized company vehicles (eligible for company vehicle after transitioning to full-time)
  • Completing site paperwork and install documentation promptly
  • Presenting a positive, professional, and courteous image to customers, often in occupied facilities
