JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in low voltage systems, including security, surveillance, and network wiring. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various low voltage systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The Low Voltage Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality service to our clients.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a service technician in low voltage or related fields.
  • Fall Protection training, or willingness to attend training.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools and power tools.
  • Proficiency in computer networking, remote access software, and computer hardware troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with cabling practices, telecommunication systems, and electrical experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of security systems including sensors, surveillance equipment, and IDS is essential.
  • Ability to design systems based on client specifications while adhering to safety standards.
  • Experience in construction environments is a plus; locksmithing skills are also beneficial.

    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $22.00-$45.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week

Experience:

  • Low voltage: 1 year (preferred)

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems including CCTV, Door Access, and security systems.
  • Perform field service tasks such as troubleshooting and repairing equipment on-site.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Read and interpret schematics and system designs to ensure accurate installations.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions for alarm system sales.
  • Conduct regular inspections of installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during installations or repairs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and NEC regulations related to low voltage systems.
